In this interview with Michelle Constant on SAFM we discuss the ethics of giving artificially intelligent entities rights – both in terms of if we owe conscious or self-aware robots intrinsic rights, and in terms of how giving artificial intelligence, automated entities and decision making algorithms “personhood rights” we absolve their creators and owners of lability for their biases and for the potential harm these entities could cause “real” humans.
