The Small Print

The Small Print is a web show co-hosted with Discourse ZA.

The show explores the “small print” aka the nuances and unintended consequences around popular, unpopular and populist ideas, with a view to helping our audience understand the full costs of proposals and policies that affect their personal and professional lives. Ultimately, we wish to encourage more participatory democracy, and more foresighted leadership and that requires disseminating deeper, un-bi-partisan analysis to unpack all sides of the big debates of our times.

After all, the first step to instrumental futurism – that is actually influencing and changing the future for the better – is understanding what is and could go wrong (and right).

Effective foresight requires hindsight, insight and ACTION.

So please, listen to our show and then, if you don’t like the futures being discussed – go out, equipped with the knowledge and language to do something about it!
